Educational Seminars
Human Rights, Religious Freedom, Living with Religious & Cultural Diversity, Law & Policy to Support Human Rights
These seminars are attended by local leaders who hold key roles in their nations government, civil society and religious organizations.
The seminars have a twofold purpose to come to a common understanding about what human rights are and how they can be implemented and protected in the nation where the seminar is being held.
Typically there are 40 to 50 leaders in attendance and they happen 6 to 8 times a year in the capital and provinces of Laos (but we hope in the future in other SE Asian nations as well).
Peace Building Workshops
Peace Building & Conflict Transformation
These workshops focus on national government, civil society and religious leaders.
During theses workshops local peace building trainers walk the leaders through a journey of personal transformation that helps them exam the ways they have been taught to see people of other religions and cultures.
The goal is to see leaders with transformed narratives of difference, lead their communities out of narratives of conflict and into ones that build peace.

Continued Research
Research on Buddhist Background Christians
Over the next two years SANTI will be interviewing Buddhist background SE Asians who have converted to Christianity to better understand the social dynamics involved in moving from a majority religion to a minority one.
The project will look at how these Buddhist background Christians think of themselves as SE Asians, how they relate to their Buddhist friends and families and how they adapt socially to the community of Christian Christians in their country.
